Where Hima Shilajatu resin comes from

The jar names its origin on the front: from Himalayas in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Supplement Facts panel adds the height, 16,000 to 18,000 ft. The brand's own description says the resin is wild harvested there at 18,000 feet.

Gilgit-Baltistan is the far north of Pakistan, where the Karakoram and the western Himalaya meet. Shilajit forms in rock at that kind of height, and the Hima Shilajatu range keeps to one form: a resin, thick and tar-like, not a powder or a capsule.

From the jar to the cup

Three steps, as the brand gives them.

  1. Use the measuring stick to take 250 mg of resin each time.

  2. Add it to any drink you like, or let it dissolve under your tongue.

  3. Use it 1 to 2 times a day, 4 to 6 times a week.

The resin tastes strong and bitter. Buyers who dislike it let it dissolve under the tongue or stir it into coffee.

    Very, Very intersting

I like this a lot. It's different. While it doesn't have the blast-off effect of cordyceps, it does have an extremely pleasant uptick that sustains throughout the day without jitters or feeling antsy, like the whole day... As for taste, since I drink black coffee and consume the 85% plus cocoa, I didn't have a problem with it. My nose and palate are pretty good and I'm still trying to place an aroma to it, but it reminds me of burnt cocoa oil, something over cooked or heated on a stovetop- like when mom had to throw away pillsbury cookies because the oven or stovetop heated too quickly.I definitely recommend, and I will definitely purchase more. Why not 5*? ... nothing is perfect but as I'm typing this an extra half star emerges and I'll probably update review.

    I like it!

It makes a difference in how I feel - energy, mental clarity, and overall mood.I’ve been using it for several weeks now. I put a pea sized amount on the end of a stainless steel chopstick and put it under my tongue. It dissolves without me even having to taste it, which is a good thing bc it tastes terrible. Why ruin a perfectly good cup of coffee or tea with this when you can just get it over with plus, not taste it.There are other brands out there that are more, or less, expensive but after researching I’m glad I went with this product. It’s effective and a good value.

    Love the product

This particular brand was the second Shilajit product that I have now tried and this one certainly seems better. The texture, consistency and taste are all better than the previous product and I will definitely be getting this one again.

    Real shilajit

I was skeptical of whether it was really or not, but it is. The instructions are very clear and specific for those who worry about the preferred dosages. Not many experienced side effects. Overall great purchase.
